I know I can be a perfectionist at times. But what I've learned is if you embrace that type of thinking to the extremes, you'll never succeed at anything. Period! Why? Because you'll never get started. You will be so involved in the planning process, watching out for that trap or that possibility, that all you put up will be roadblocks, resulting in delays to take action. Perfectionists are afraid to make mistakes.
So what can we do?
Choose a path to proceed and take action.
And, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Learn from them and move forward. View mistakes as a stepping stone towards your goal.
Rinse and repeat.
So, bottom line, it's the "imperfectionist" that will take action and get things done.
