Exercise If You Care About Your Mind And Body
Yeah, yeah ... you've heard this a million times, right? I hear you ... and it's easier said than done, right? But there's no question that exercise is a great way to improve your mind and body. Some people exercise 5 days a week, while others ... the weekend warriors ... just on Saturdays and Sundays. For me, I like to exercise 3 days a week with intensity, and on my rest days I try to keep a bit active ... my weekends are reserved for some fun and relaxation with my wife, for example, shopping at the local farmer's market for fresh fruits and veggies and looking for whole-in-the-wall places. And to raise your exercise experience to another level, try the nasal breathing technique while working out. It will take some time getting comfortable with it, however, there's a ton of benefits you can reap from it.
Bottom line, exercise is good for your mind and body, and as those endorphins are released, you'll be in that "feel good" zone. And as an added benefit, you'll start to look good and will be able to manage your stress levels more effectively.
Practice Positive Self-Talk If You Care About Your Mind And Body
Do you talk to yourself sometimes? Whether it's verbally or mentally, I hope they are positive ones. Negative self-talk is bad news for your mind. It can then affect your emotions and your body in a negative manner. Can you imagine exercising while telling yourself that you hate to exercise? Anyways, you see my point. You can use positive self-talk or affirmations to help cultivate that healthy living mindset. Positive self-talk are short statements that encourage and guide your mind and body, while you are working on attaining your goals and improving on your strengths and shortcomings. Use affirmations throughout your day to keep focused, and motivate yourself to create and maintain that healthy mind and body you deserve!
Here are examples of positive self-talk ...
- I will exercise regularly and keep active
- I am committed to being healthy and active
- My body will receive ample rest and exercise
- My healthy lifestyle positively affects those around me
- I will remove bad habits with good food, exercise and healthy living
