The Cheesecake Factory - A Lesson In Selfless Gratititude

Do you like cheesecake? If you do, then welcome to the club ... I love them, too! I live close to the Waikiki Cheesecake Factory, but never had a meal there. Shame on me, right? However, I did have their cheesecakes ... yum. And you know what makes this Cheesecake Factory special? Well, it's the busiest Cheesecake Factory in the world,  serving 4,000 customers on a daily basis! Wowsers, huh? However, just about a month ago, the restaurant had a fire, causing 2.5 million dollars in damage, and a 3-week closure due to the damages. And that being said, there were 400 employees out of a job for the three weeks while repairs were being done to the Waikiki restaurant. I bet the restaurant lost a ton of money while it was closed for three weeks, in addition to absorbing all the expenses for the repairs. But the most remarkable thing about this story is the fact that Cheesecake Factory paid all 400 employees for the three weeks they were out. That's 3 weeks of paid wages to 400 employees while the restaurant was being repaired. I think that's a pretty awesome gesture of selfless gratitude! All I can say is ... bravo Cheesecake Factory!
